 Lifesaver but I wish it was made from healthier materials... September 28, 2008
This pillow is the best one I've used. It is far better than the annoying boppy. My only complaint is the pillow is made of a tough foam and I think they could pick a more natural alternative for the filling. The design is very good otherwise.
The most useful baby registry gift I received. September 2, 2008
I requested this pillow after hearing about it from the lactation consultant at my hospital. This is one of the few baby registry things that I use on a daily basis. I had a C-section and this really helped me to position my son correctly while keeping him off of my C-section. I have a hand injury which makes everyday activities difficult. I also have a boppy and I find that it slips and slides too much while I am trying to nurse and it requires too much hand strength to hold my son and the pillow concurrently. I highly recommend it. It definitely supported my commitment to breastfeed my son.

I bought one of these on the advice of the lactation consultant who taught my breastfeeding class before I had my first child. Someone had already handed me down her Boppy, too.
After I gave birth I tried both. In the end, the Boppy was good for something to sit on while I healed and the My Brest Friend was fantastic for nursing. The Boppy was given to a thrift store. The My Brest Friend is now in use with my second child.
It makes such a difference to use this. It's so comfortable and takes a lot of pressure off of your back. It also makes it easy to get up and do things while still nursing.
I recommend this to all my friends.

If you or someone that you know plans to nurse, get this! It supports your baby so much better than a pillow or boppy, and it's easier on your arms for those long newborn feedings.

Though everyone loves the boppy, I have both and found the brest friend to be the far superior product. It's easy to put around your waist, even when you're still swollen and puffy from giving birth, and it gives great support for baby. My baby breast fed constantly and also slept constantly on this pillow. She's my first, and the brest friend allowed me to plow through three lengthy novels in the first couple of months of her life. Truly a great product, useable right away. Also has nifty compartment for keeping nipple shields / binkies.
