Well worth the money December 23, 2008 bought one at a convetion and i was really pleased with this product. after a few months of using it, i took it off and was amazed at how many scratches i would have had. another reason i bought it was it had a cover for the UMD tray (mine was falling off) and with the case i didnt have to worry about it becoming unusable which would cost alot more to replace. also by protecting the screen i dont need to buy a new faceplate to replace the screen. overall this is amazing and pays for itself if you hate a scratched screen and would actually replace it 10/5 stars
Joytron system skin case December 23, 2008 One day after school i was walking home very tired when i noticed there was this package in my door so i grabbed it and took it in my house and i started opening it when i saw it the Joytron skin case. i started to open it and i read the instructions wich are very easy to understand if you are a bigginer. so i had put all of it together and it looked very astonishing. every thing was very easy to get to like the chrging output the USB and the memory stck slot. But the thing that was most pleasing was the UMD door it was free and could open not like those other case that first you need to take it apart and then open the UMD door. overall this is the best case i have ever had and if you know me i had alot (24) but the all were too bulky or not comfterble to handle also it feels like a regular PSP without a case and looks good on my PSP out of 10 i give it a 11.
pretty good, but don't expect longevity. December 16, 2008 This thin case is great for (very) basic protection and scratch-guard of the PSP-2000 (and now 3000 too.) It wasn't until 3 or 4 months after continuous use that that the tiny hinges that keep the case on the PSP started to break. I was never too rough with the case but first one hinge went and a month later another. its now been 7 months and all I'm left with is the cover for the game slot in the back. As I reread my review it almost seems like I gave it less stars than I actually did, but don't get me wrong, when you first get your PSP in this armor you'll love it. . . just don't hit too many people on the subway with it, it might break.
Great gift November 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered a PSP for my 10-year-old and needed to make sure the system was as protected as possible. This case is great. He won't complain about a bulky cover (like the Nerf cover some of his friends have for their DS systems), but the system is protected. The shipping was great. It arrived early. Also, the shipment included a free, portable mini stand.
I had problems with this case w/ PSP3000 October 29, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ok. So I just got my new PSP3000, the new slim PSP with the brighter screen, and, after comparing the (identical) dimensions of the PSP3000 to those of the PSP2000 on Sony's website, and also reading all the positive reviews for the Sony PSP Slim & Lite Joytron System Skin Case, I pulled the trigger and ordered the case. I had the case in my hands 5 days after ordering it from the Amazon marketplace seller, Nuri Tech. After attempting to install the case on the 3000, I quickly ascertained that the case just did not fit, specifically, the portion of the case that covers the memory card on the back of the PSP appears to be too small. The case does not "stretch" far enough to allow for a secure engagement of the plastic clips over the memory card portion of the PSP. All other panels of the case fit together perfectly except for this one portion. I don't know if I just got a "bad egg" or if there is some slight difference in the dimensions of the PSP3000 vs. PSP2000 that accounts for the fact that the case did not fit.
Another word about the Joytron case itself - it adds minimal bulk to the PSP, which may be good for those with smaller hands. However, I am an adult with medium size men's hands, and, although I like that the PSP is small, I find it's almost too small for playing pleasure. In fact, when I first got the PSP3000, I was jammin' to God of War, side-steppin' and slashin' baddies with Kratos' blades when the PSP almost flipped out of my hands! Because the PSP Slim (2000 or 3000) has such a small form factor, if you have medium to large hands, you may want to check out Logitech's PSP Playgear Pocket - Slim, which I ran out and bought from my local GameStop after my disappointing experience with the Joytron case. The Logitech case is a clam shell design that fully protects the PSP from front to back and allows access for you to play the PSP while it rests within the case, therefore giving it a little more bulk for those of us adult PSP users. The upper part of the clam shell also folds back and doubles as a stand if you want to set your PSP on a table to play. The Logitech case is also 5 bucks cheaper than the Joytron case, despite the fact that you get way more protection, front and back, with the Logitech. That's my two cents. . .
