Nice Product January 6, 2009 With the two sided option this item is exactly what I wanted, very nice quality.
I'll never use another mousepad December 30, 2008 I have always used what I considered to be a pretty good mousepad for my mouse (Logitech G9) and never thought about switching. It was starting to peel and look bad though, so I saw this one had high reviews and purchased it.
From the second I placed my mouse on it, I couldn't believe the response I got from it. I honestly feel as if it doubled my mouse's DPI. I can barely use it now at the setting it's on (3200 DPI) due this mousepad! (I'm using the "smooth" side of the mousepad.)
The gel wrist rest is also a nice addition. I'm hoping it'll get rid of the perpetual redness I have on my wrist from my old one.
If you're a serious gamer, or someone who just wants to get the most out of your mouse, I highly recommend this mousepad. It's worth every dollar.
Great Mouse Pad (at a discount)! December 20, 2008 This product is great for a gamer or anyone who does a lot of digital editing. Being dual sided, the speed side is good for quick movements over large fields, such as in FPS games, and the control side is good for minute detail, like pixel work in photoshop. There are some drawbacks though. I have found that a few of my mice are not compatible with the pad. My logitech G7 cordless was not compatible with the speed side, it would not register movement at all. It worked on the control side though. My logitech VX and MX mice do work well on both sides though, and I prefer the speed side. The large size makes it take a lot of desk space, so plan ahead. Also, since the size is so large, it makes flipping the pad over constantly a chore. So most of the time you will choose a side and stick with it until you have to use the other side. It does have rubber feet on all corners of the pad which raise it a centimeter off of the desk, so you can run headphone wires and such below the pad. At the suggested retail price, I would not recommend purchasing it. There are other pads (by razer) that are single sided- and have different size configurations- for a lower price. But, if you can get it at a discount like I did from Amazon, then it is well worth it.
solid December 17, 2008 I had tried out a couple of other pads but this is by far the best I've found. It's dead straight and the two sides are very distinct and should satisfy most people. The only downside I've found is the cutout along the "bottom" - if you don't use the wrist pad, it would be nicer to have it squared off. Oh well. It's good size and has held up perfectly after six years of gaming.
Great Mouse Pad December 17, 2008 Great mouse pad. I use it with a SteelSeries Ikari Laser Mouse (Black) and it's the perfect combination. Great quality, and combined with that mouse, it's amazingly smooth. I think it's very much worth the money. It's metal, with a durable coating so it's easy to clean, unlike a lot of other mouse pads.
